Chris Brown & The Game - I Don't Like (Freestyle/Drake Diss)

The Game didn't partake in any of the dissing going on but "Breezy" does seem a little angry with
Drake. Take a listen for yourself  & see tell me what you think.

Footage of Drake, Chris Brown, Meek Mill, and Trey Songz After Bar Fight

Im assuming that everyone was against Chris cause Trey & Drake have been homies since like '07 back in the Comeback Season days. And Meek just had a feature with Drake on his latest mixtape
Dreamchasers 2. However, there have been many rumors about a beef with Drake and Chris over Rihanna and I've noticed that Chris hasnt had any type of friendship with the other artists. Either way, thats just what Im guessing.

Vintage Sighting #2 - The Cool Kids & F.A.I.F

Back with another vintage sighting! However, this one is a present day sighting. I was scrolling down one of my favorite hip-hop blogs illRoots and decided to look through their archive of "The Cool Kids". If you've read this blog any time from the start in '08 to the present, you know that im a huge fan of them. This time, I saw a picture of them that I'd seen numerous times but this time, I saw it in a different way.

^^^ This is the picture I'm referring to.

I found myself staring at Chuck's vintage Pistons jacket. As I was looking at the jacket I was 99% sure I could find it on arguably the most famous vintage store F As In Frank...

I WAS RIGHT!!!!!!!

I looked at both pictures back and forth to see if it was in fact the same jacket and it was! Im almost sure that Chuck bought his jacket from F.A.I.F because Ive seen a video of Mikey riding around with the owners of the store about a year ago when I first saw this picture

Unfortunately, this jacket is sold out but you can hit them up on twitter here

Next sighting coming soon!!!

Vintage Sighting - Mary J. Blige & T.S.P.V

I decided to switch up the new feature on TKB. Since Im interested in vintage urban gear as a whole & not just snapbacks, I wanted to change "Snapback Sightings" to "Vintage Sightings". It will still be the same but I'll post vintage gear instead of just hats.

LETS GET INTO IT...

Recently I watched Vh1's "40 Greatest Yoi! MTV Raps Moments" and I they showed a clip of Mary J. Blige making her MTV debut alongside Grand Puba who began rapping before he brought Mrs. Blige out.

As he was rapping, I noticed he had a visor that looked extremely familiar. After about 10 seconds, I realized that I saw that Fila visor on Top Shelf Premium Vintage a while back.

As for Mary's Cross Colors bucket hat...Yeah, I don't know what to tell you

Go check out Top Shelf Premium Vintage...NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

What The F*%k? (An Essay)

As many of you know, I am working on an album that I am hoping to release by mid-april and you can hear he first single from that here. If I may say so my self, I am very proud of the song. I believe that it sounds extraordinary for a 16-year old boy who wrote (my verse), produced and engineered it himself but my mother felt slightly different. I performed this song at my schools talent show on February 7, 2012 completely free of any curse words and my mom loved it. It wasn't until she logged on facebook where my sister shared the link to the explicit version of the song that my mother got mixed feelings. She still loved the song but she asked questions like "Why do you have to curse", "Why can't you be different" and "Why didnt you just look in the dictionary for words to replace those". She was right, I could've used different words but I told her that I believed that those words just fit the song. As a child, I believe that parents should lead by example so I had a problem with her saying this when her and a good portion of my family use curse words often. In my head I was thinking that I never used these words around you so I dont think that I should be chastised. My mother often told me about the times when she was young, her group of friends would talk like that all the time, but they weren't around their parents so it was cool. That was my main problem.

THEN I STARTED THINKING...

Who was it exactly that came up with the idea of "profanity". The whole purpose of words is to use them, right? Who would deliberately create a word that isn't supposed to be used? So I went to the internet to find out more information on this topic.

I looked at Wikipedia and found a little information but not exactly what I was looking for.
I came across a website called Antimoon that didnt answer my question either.

BUT THENN...

I found someone's wordpress (not as good as Blogger. Haha!) blog entitled Sanity Found where I found some information that seems pretty accurate. It gave an individual description on each of the most popular swear words which I thought was brilliant. It is an amazing post and I recommend that you guys go check it out!
Thanks!!!!!

New Feature: "Snapback Sighting"

Here at ThaKoolestBlog, i've been thinking to myself..."What can I do to make my blog more interesting". Ive noticed that my blog is just been a "hip-hop blog" since I started it but I want to make it more than that. I was inspired by my good friend Jarrett who occasionally blogs about different subjects such as fashion, pop culture & music and I was also inspired by the website Nice Kicks who has a feature on their blog called "Sneaker Sightings". Now I'm the furthest thing from a so called "Sneaker head" but I decided to flip that into something im interested in and happen to know a lot about. Although I hate the term "snapbacks" mostly because I hate Tyga and he's basically the one who created the word, what else can I call them? Snapbacks it is! Buuuuuuut... Without further ado...
"Snapback Sightings #1"
This first one is gonna feature "Cole" from one of my all-time favorite shows "Martin" sporting a rare vintage Black Detroit Pistons Starter "Arch Print" snapback.

Although this type of starter snap is very common, this hat is EXTREMELY rare. I looked all over the internet for a picture until I finally came across one on ebay on sale for an incredible $10.00!!!!

Although the seller didnt show a picture of the back, I'm such a big Starter fan, I know one when I see it.
